Nurse-Family Partnership

Excellence and Innovation in Nursing

Nurse-Family Partnership logo with text, "Helping first-time parents succeed."

Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is an evidence- based, community health program that serves women of low-income pregnant with their first child.

We provide first-time moms with their own personal registered nurse who will provide support, advice, and wonderful information during pregnancy and after the baby arrives up to 2 years of age. Our nurses will travel to you, so you don’t have to arrange transportation.

During visits, nurse home visitors will educate on personal and environmental health (both during pregnancy and after delivery), infant/toddler health and development, and parenting skills. Mothers will also receive support and education on meeting life goals, and will be referred to community agencies, as needed.
