Dr. Mehta is an associate professor within the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at the East Tennessee State University residency. His main responsibilities include engaging in research and scholarship, mentoring DPT students, and teaching foundational clinical skills and geriatric rehabilitation content in the DPT program.
Dr. Mehta has published over 45 articles in high quality journals in the areas of aging and rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disability, managing osteoarthritis of hip and knee. He has shared his research and clinical expertise nationally and internationally in professional meetings. He maintains active research collaborations with researchers from different universities within the USA and with researchers in Canada, Denmark, and India. He is very active in Academy of Hand Upper Extremity of the American Physical Therapy Association and serves as a member of the research committee of the academy.
