Dr. Devin Johnson was led to become a doctor after being a stenographer, and later caregiver, for a former president of his seminary who had Parkinson’s disease. As a caregiver of someone with Parkinson’s, he was exposed to the world of health care and, more specifically, neurology. He learned how critical the neurologist’s role was in helping patients live their best lives.

Dr. Johnson wants to help patients achieve the roles, jobs and careers that they find fulfilling and meaningful. With a background in humanities and English, he appreciates patients’ stories. He believes patients’ stories help navigate their health conditions.

Being an Upper East Tennessee native, he is knowledgeable of the resources we have in our area. Having trained at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, he is happy to use the knowledge and training he received to help our community.

Outside of work, he loves playing and listening to old-time bluegrass music.
