Rebecca Copeland, MD earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at East Tennessee State University. After earning her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis, Dr. Copeland completed her residency in Internal Medicine at East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Copeland plays an active role in training Quillen Colleges medical and pharmacy students, interns, and residents. Throughout the year, she often serves as the attending physician on the hospital wards, and she was a major contributor in the development of the current curriculum guidelines for General Internal Medicine.
Board certified in Internal Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Copelands research centers on the effects of Vitamin D deficiency. She has published several articles on this topic in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the National Medical Association and Epidemiology & Infection.
